PASTOR SANDY HARVEY

“I am humbled that God though enough of me to use me to prepare people for kingdom-building as a spiritual leader, bible teacher, and worship leader. My only desire is to see Christians move beyond being spectators in pews to being those who minister to the hearts, minds, and souls of all people.”

Pastor Cassandra Harvey is the associate pastor of Serenity Christian Church. “Pastor Sandy,” as she is affectionately known, is not your typical First Lady. She is a partner in ministry, alongside her husband, Apostle John C. Harvey.

Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Pastor Sandy relocated to metro Detroit in 2002. She is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Management.

Pastor Sandy is the owner of Exodus Consulting Group, LLC, providing strategic diversity, equity and inclusion and leadership services as an expert advisory to nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Her focus in on diversity and inclusion, leadership, talent management, training, and coaching for clients across the nation. 

In 2005, Pastor Sandy accepted her call to ministry and has been diligent in service since. She founded the Heart to Heart Women’s Fellowship in 2006 with the goal of equipping and encouraging women to desire true relationship with Christ before any other. She obtained her license in Christian ministry in 2009 and was ordained on October 23, 2011. Earlier that same year, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Evangelism and Church Planting.

She actively serves Detroit as a board member for Gleaners Community Food Bank, secretary of the Board for Leadership Oakland, Chair of Inforum’s Southeast Michigan Regional Council, and a member of HAVEN’s human resources committee.
